Grandkids update

This blog started as a blog about Ryelee as an extremely premature baby. I will be posting about all the grand babies here.

My how time flies! The last time I posted on this blog Amaya was going to be born soon. Amaya is 3 now. Their little sister Emmelyne will be 2 next week.

Ryelee will be 5 in May. She has 4 therapy sessions a week. Group therapy where there are other kids the same age and abilities and they play and do activities, all the while working on speech and occupational skills. She also has speech, ot and pt every week. She continues to amaze us with her ability to use and understand technology. She teaches us stuff all the time. She has a hard time sitting still, but mom has learned some tricks to help her calm down. She has memorized the first 2 articles of faith, and a talk for Primary. When it came time to give the talk she froze.
Amaya has an adorable personality. She gets this little twinkle in her eye when she thinks of something to do. I generally watch them once a week. Sometimes just Amaya if the other 2 are going to therapy. She will have a list of things to do ready before I get there. Example: play candy land, blow bubbles, draw with chalk or paint, swing, go for a walk, (even when it was 10 degrees in Jan she insisted we had to go for a walk). She pretty much gets what she wants. Especially one day at Target I said I would by them some gold fish. She got that little sparkle in her eye and said "Grammie we could buy cheese balls". Of course I bought that huge container of cheese balls!
Emmelyne and Amaya are like twins in done ways. They are about the same size (Amaya is super tiny, Emme is a big girl) and they do the twin thing of what one doesn't think of the other one will. Emme is the climber in the family and she is fearless! She doesn't talk much yet. She does sign, and Amaya says she talks for Emme. Emme will say something no one else can understand and Amaya interprets it. Also a twin thing. Emme reminds me if her mama as a little girl. She is a sweetie.

Kels has Scylla who is 15 months. Her and Emme love each other a lot. Her beautiful red hair attracts a lot of attention. She was doing some modeling until she really got to be a stinker about holding still. She is very active since she started walking (Grammies little whirl wind), curious and sweet.

Being Grammie is the best thing ever!!!
